These projects, drawn up at the request of Velez-Malaga Town Council, aim to incorporate urban conditioning installations in these two locations, developed in collaboration with the TEP 143 Thermotechnics research team of the University of Seville.
In Pintor Hidalgo street, next to María Zambrano park, it is proposed to create a depressed enclosure, a permanent climatic refuge through the installation of arboreal prostheses that incorporate a cooling system using recirculated water, with the aim of reducing the thermal sensation by increasing comfort in the public space under high ambient temperature conditions.
For its part, the installation to be developed in the Camino de Málaga Boulevard consists of a series of temporary tree prostheses that allow the incorporation of shade in spaces undergoing transformation processes. The objective is to establish favourable conditions for the stay in places that are awaiting the planting and growth of new trees and flora. Their constitution and design have taken into account, as essential parameters, their capacity to transform and adapt to the different temporary needs of the urban space and the possibility of replicating and multiplying or reducing them, by means of optimised, simple and standardised assembly and disassembly processes.
